Lost Parks
Winnipeg has lost four early parks:
River Park, Elm Park, Happyland Park and Victoria Park
River Park
Located on the Red River, Elm Park's
Dances had to be stopped 1895 because of rowdy behaviour.
It was a commercial park built by private interests that operated the street railway system.
